§ 6-51. City to provide dog and cat pound, dog and cat pound attendant and humane officer.

The city shall provide an adequate dog and cat pound and an attendant and humane officer for the proper maintenance of the pound. The attendant at such dog and cat pound and the humane officer may be the same person or, in the discretion of the mayor and city council, such position may be held by some other employee of the city.
