§ 13-81. Definitions.

For the purposes of this article, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:

City. The City of Bellevue and the area within two miles of the corporate limits thereof.

Garbage. All animal and vegetable waste and all other putrescible matter.

Refuse. All waste substances including garbage as well as combustible and noncombustible wastes.

Sanitary landfill. A type of operation in which garbage and refuse are deposited on land by a plan under which it is compacted and then covered by suitable covering material.
