§ 2-142. Employment of attorneys.

  • Whenever in the judgment of the mayor and city council it shall be deemed necessary or expedient, they shall employ a city attorney, who shall be the legal advisor to the mayor and city council and also an attorney or attorneys, both for substituted and supplemental services or for special pieces of legal work and pay for the same out of the general fund for incidental purposes.
