Chapter 28. STREETS AND SIDEWALKS |
Article II. SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR |
§ 28-26. Definitions.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings assigned herein:
(1)
Building shall mean any structure having a roof (partial or otherwise) and built to provide shelter, support or enclosure for animals, persons or property;
(2)
Permanent sidewalk shall mean a sidewalk meeting the specifications adopted by the city council pursuant to section 28-28
(3)
Sidewalk space shall mean that portion of a street between the lateral line of a roadway and the adjacent property line;
(4)
Sidewalk shall mean that portion of the sidewalk space constructed, developed or intended for use by pedestrians, whether or not a permanent sidewalk; and
(5)
Structure shall have the same meaning as provided in article 1662 of Ordinance No. 770 (zoning regulations).
