Any person who violates or who refuses, neglects, or fails to comply with any of the
provisions of this article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
shall be punished as provided in section 1-11 of this code. Any person who has been convicted for having done any work in a manner
prohibited by this article, and who fails, neglects, or refuses to correct the same
within ten days after conviction, shall be guilty of an independent and separate offense
for each day thereafter during which said work is permitted to remain in such improper
condition.
