§ 27.5-43. Discharge of sanitary sewage prohibited.

No person shall cause or permit discharge of sanitary sewage into the municipal separate
storm sewer system. Without prejudice to, any other right, remedy, recourse or punishment
contemplated by the laws, including this chapter or chapter 30 of this Code, in the event the director determines that a building drain or building
sewer is not operating properly and causes the discharge of sewage onto any street
or sidewalk, or into any municipal separate storm sewer system, the director may also
declare this condition to constitute a public nuisance and proceed to abate that nuisance
in accordance with this chapter, chapter 30 and sections 19-51 through 19-54, as the director shall consider appropriate.
