§ 23-2. Purpose.

A.

The purpose of this chapter is to prevent fraud and other crimes, to protect citizens of Bellevue from undue invasion of privacy, from undue annoyance and harassment, to maintain the health, safety and welfare of residents of the city, by means of investigation and regulation of peddlers, solicitors, canvassers and transient merchants.

B.

A license under this article shall not be used or represented in any manner as an endorsement by this city, or by any department, officer or employee thereof, of the products or services being offered for sale.
