§ 18-109. Designation of handicapped parking spaces.

  • (a)

    The police department, based upon a study of the need for reserved handicapped parking spaces, is hereby authorized to designate parking spaces, including access aisles, for the exclusive use of handicapped and disabled persons or temporarily handicapped or disabled persons in accordance with sections 18-1736 and 18-1737, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska 1943, as amended.

    (b)

    If the police department so designates a parking space or access aisle, the city shall post aboveground and immediately adjacent to and visible from each space or access aisle a sign as described in section 18-1737, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska 1943, as amended.

    (c)

    No fee shall be charged for such reserved parking spaces for handicapped or disabled or temporarily handicapped or disabled persons.
