§ 11-2. Annual all-purpose tax levy.

The city shall make an all-purpose and exclusive annual levy upon the assessed value of all the taxable property in the city, except intangible property, for all municipal purposes. Such levy shall be in lieu of the multiple levies authorized by the statutes of the state. Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, otherwise authorized extraordinary levies to service and pay bonded indebtedness of the city and to pay judgments rendered against it may be made by the city in addition to such all-purpose levy.
